Fish the waters (Icy Strait and Port Frederick Sound) around and near Hoonah, Alaska Hoonah is located 35 miles southwest of Juneau on Chichagof Island. With almost 900 year round residents. Commercial fishing and logging have supported the population, and most residents maintain a subsistence lifestyle. Transportation: Hoonah is 20 min. from Juneau by air. About 3 hrs. by the state ferry (A beautiful trip in itself) The Alaska Ferry and smaller airlines fly into Hoonah from Juneau and other Southeast ports. Those links are included at the bottom of the page. I also will be available to fish reserved trips out of Juneau.I must have advance notice of at least two weeks (Preferably more) to make sure that I have the boat in Juneau when you get there.
