Here are some photo's from this summer......... We often load the fish boxes on our trips. (The limits up here are very liberal.) I prefer to take a picture of my guest with a nice fish. I do not take many shots of guests with a bunch of fish spread out all over the dock. Sometimes, I personally have a hard time keeping a limit of salmon. (It makes me feel like a poacher.) But: Manage to do so and fill the smoker a few times a summer. These wild alaska salmon are the best smoked fish there are! The abundance of fish up here still boggles my mind! It is special and precious. The commercial, sport and subsistence harvest of fish in Alaskan waters, numbers in the hundreds of millions. A renewable resource that literally feeds the world. A new season is beginning and already we are having a lot of fun fishing! Frank and I are looking forward to a great season. I will be adding to the "wall of fame" on a regular basis in the weeks to come. ENJOY! |
